Beast of Reincarnation Boss Guides

Bosses are the spine of this game: giant corrupted rulers of the world whose powers Emma captures after victory. This hub fills with individual strategies from the moment the game unlocks.

Updated: August 2, 2026 — first boss guides begin at the worldwide unlock

How bosses work in Beast of Reincarnation

Bosses aren't just checkpoints — they're the story's structure. Japan 4026 is ruled by Bosses from all over the world. Emma and Koo's mission is to defeat them and capture their powers before facing the Beast of Reincarnation itself.

The official description confirms that Emma and Koo defeat Bosses and capture their powers. How those rewards affect progression will be documented after hands-on verification. Official footage already shows large encounters built around reading attacks and combining Emma's swordplay with Koo's commanded techniques (see the combat system guide).

The official term: Nushi

Game Freak has named the creatures you're hunting: the giant malefacts that generate the blighted forests are called "Nushi". Emma and Koo fight through each blighted forest to bring down its Nushi, absorb its immense power and acquire its skills — that's the official progression loop, straight from director Kota Furushima. Expect search terms and in-game text to use "Nushi" where press previews said "Bosses"; we'll index every Nushi by name here from launch.

Boss list

Full boss list arrives after launch verification. Official sources have not published a complete set of boss names or a final count. Lists that go beyond confirmed footage should therefore be treated as unverified. This page will be updated in progression order after each encounter is checked in-game.

What each boss guide will include

Expected difficulty

Official materials describe the combat as demanding and technical, while Steam users apply Souls-like and Difficult tags. The game also includes Story, Normal and Hard modes; Story widens the parry window and lowers enemy damage. Start with our combat fundamentals, and remember that ranged and stealth playstyles are explicitly supported.
