What is confirmed about Nue
Inven Global encountered Nue Malfact during a flashback segment of a two-hour PC demo. The outlet describes a corrupted creature with a dog's body and a lotus-like head. A public launch trophy later names a Shidou & Nue encounter, confirming that Nue remains part of the retail boss roster, although the trophy alone does not establish whether the demo flashback and later paired fight use the same full moveset.
Sourced attack tells and responses
| Attack | Tell | Safe response |
|---|---|---|
| Front-paw swings | Nue closes distance and swings from the front | Guard or evade the full string before taking a short punish; the demo report considered these readable |
| Two-hit tail whip | The body turns and the tail begins the first sweep | Count both hits. Do not start a long combo after the first sweep |
| Lightning roar | A roar precedes lightning that threatens more than melee range | Stop attacking, move laterally and wait for the lightning pattern to finish before re-engaging |
Recommended safe game plan
- Open at medium range. Use the first exchange to identify whether Nue starts with paws, tail or the roar instead of sprinting into a blind combo.
- Keep the camera wide enough to read the body turn. The tail sequence is easier to count when the full boss stays on screen.
- Save Koo for recovery or control. No Nue-specific Bloom Art weakness is verified, so a reliable restraint or healing command is safer than claiming an elemental counter.
- Carry a bow or crossbow. The same demo found ranged weapons useful for chipping giant bosses whose bodies move outside comfortable sword reach.
- Take short punishes. One clean Emma string is better than being caught by the second tail hit or the lightning tell.
What remains unverified
The retail location, story order, Shidou's role, phase count, elemental weakness, reward list and exact parryability of each animation are not established by the available sources. They are deliberately omitted rather than inferred from the trophy name or another boss.
