Inven Global encountered Nue Malfact during a flashback segment of a two-hour PC demo. The outlet describes a corrupted creature with a dog's body and a lotus-like head. A public launch trophy later names a Shidou & Nue encounter, confirming that Nue remains part of the retail boss roster, although the trophy alone does not establish whether the demo flashback and later paired fight use the same full moveset.
Short answer: stay patient through the two-hit tail sequence, disengage on the roar until the lightning resolves, and use ranged damage when the boss makes sword range awkward.
