Update 1.004 / PC build 1.0.6 — the day-one patch (August 3–4, 2026)
Official changelog status: not published. The update is numbered 1.004 on PS5 and reports as version 1.0.6 on PC after the final pre-launch update — the publisher's own numbering for the same content. SteamDB's record for the corresponding build (Build 24462426, August 3, 2026) lists only changed files, with no accompanying patch-notes text.
What outlet roundups of the update consistently report as its contents:
- General performance improvements across PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S
- Frame-rate stability optimizations in various gameplay scenarios
- Multiple gameplay-bug fixes
- Fixes for issues that could cause crashes
Those four lines are summaries from third-party trackers (MP1st, UpdateCrazy), not the developer's own text — because no official list exists yet. Launch-week reviews on console still flagged frame drops after this patch (see the tracker), so treat "performance improvements" as incremental, not a fix-all.
Already fixed since launch

What we're watching for next
- The first PC patch's actual notes — the moment they publish, they land here verbatim, replacing outlet summaries
- Whether ultrawide and the FSR upgrade ship together or separately
- Console frame-rate follow-up: launch reviews flagged drops even on PS5 Pro
New patch? It shows up here first — the news page carries the day's context, and the known issues tracker flips each fixed row as updates land.
