How saving works
| Question | Answer | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Autosave? | Yes, in rotation with manual saves | Confirmed by 2 independent sources |
| Manual save locations | Campfires (Campsites) and the bed inside the Cleanse Walker | Confirmed by 2 independent sources |
| Number of save slots | Reported as 2 rotating autosave slots + 15 manual slots | Single source — treat the exact count as reported, not confirmed |
| Steam Cloud sync | Uploads on close, downloads automatically on a new device | Reported by one launch guide |
| Death penalty | None — no currency loss, no corpse run, no rollback of unlocked content | Confirmed by 2 independent sources |
| PC save location | C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\BeastOfReincarnation\Saved\SaveGames | Single source |
Handy trick reported by PowerPyx: because the bed in the Cleanse Walker lets you manually save, you can save there, reset Emma's or Koo's skill/attribute allocation to test something, then reload that save to undo the reset if you don't like the result — useful for experimenting with builds before committing.
How fast travel works
- Open the map from the game menu.
- Select Change Zone in the bottom-left.
- Pick any region you've previously visited.
- Choose a campsite you've already discovered in that region — you spawn directly there.
Campsites do double duty as your fast travel network and your save/rest points. One launch guide notes that resting at a campsite respawns that area's minor enemies — worth knowing if you're fast-traveling back through to farm. A separate report says the Cleanse Walker (your mobile base) isn't fast-travel-accessible immediately, but becomes reachable once you've progressed far enough into the first chapter. No source we checked mentions any Amber cost, cooldown or use limit on fast travel, but none explicitly rules one out either — treat "free and unlimited" as the working assumption until a source confirms it outright.
Is anything missable?
Launch guides are consistent on this: zero missable trophies/achievements, and you can freely return to every previously visited region after finishing the story to mop up collectibles. The one confirmed exception is a single blade that's only obtainable at the start of New Game+, not in a first playthrough.
One source's wording briefly suggested you might need a second playthrough to collect all 30 of the game's "Keeper Golem" collectibles, while another source — backed by real reader reports in its comments — concluded all 30 are obtainable in a single playthrough. We're going with the reader-verified account, but flagging the disagreement here rather than picking a side silently.
Unresolved: some early coverage mentions a "point of no return" late in the game, but we could not trace that claim to a specific, quotable source we could verify directly — and it's worth noting that Beast of Reincarnation's own pre-release messaging was contradictory on backtracking (one interview said you can always return to earlier areas; separate publisher comments to press suggested otherwise). We're not asserting either way until this is confirmed post-launch.
