Swords: stats, effects and locations
The checklist now covers all 21 blades. Eighteen rows retain the structured v1.0.7 table values; First Moon, Shark Cutter and Silverlight were added after their names and routes matched across an IGN guide and two independent 21-sword video checklists. Their reported attack values are marked separately because the source set may show a different upgrade state.

† Disputed: one Fextralife Thunderwave detail page says 51 while its weapons table says 45. Two Fextralife Sunrise entries say 45, while another launch guide reports 21. ‡ First Moon, Shark Cutter and Silverlight are reported as 27 by two location guides; this may represent a different upgrade state from the 45/51 table values. Locations and effects are more reliable than cross-source attack comparisons.
Ranged weapons
| Weapon | Ranged attack | Draw time | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Zangetsu Bow | 200 | 1.00 sec | Starting weapon; uses arrows. |
| Spring Thunder Crossbow | 20 | 1.00 sec | Starting weapon; uses bolts. |
Ammunition: damage, buildup and carry limit
The numbers suggest arrows and bolts are different jobs, not two tiers of the same tool. Arrows commit to one high-damage or high-buildup shot; bolts trade per-hit output for a much larger carry limit.
| Ammunition | Damage | Effect / buildup | Carry limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arrows | 101 | None | 13 |
| Poison Arrows | 49 | Poison 50 | 5 |
| Acid Arrows | 49 | Corrosion 54 | 7 |
| Fire Arrows | 49 | Burn 54 | 7 |
| Lightning Arrows | 49 | Shock 50 | 5 |
| Explosive Arrows | 97 | Blast radius 2.0 | 3 |
| Bolts | 6 | None | 28 |
| Poison Bolts | 4 | Poison 10 | 12 |
| Acid Bolts | 4 | Corrosion 10 | 12 |
| Fire Bolts | 4 | Burn 10 | 14 |
| Lightning Bolts | 4 | Shock 10 | 12 |
| Explosive Bolts | 10 | Blast radius 2.0 | 8 |
Basic arrow and bolt manuals arrive through the story. The remaining manual locations are tied to the Manual Maniac achievement; our current evidence is strong enough for the 12-type count but not strong enough to promise a complete merchant-price route here.
Upgrading and how much Amber to keep
The completion route reports a +14 ceiling for each ranged weapon and ammunition type, split across elemental and quiver upgrades. Maxing the full ranged set is reported to cost roughly 500,000–600,000 Amber. That is an order-of-magnitude planning number from a completion guide, not an exact invoice.
Where the guides disagree
Two maintained sources can disagree without either page being useless. Here is what conflicts, what pattern we can see, and what would settle it.
| Question | What the sources say | Working treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Thunderwave damage | Fextralife's individual page says 51; its weapons table says 45. | The undisputed elemental swords in the same table are 45 while most non-elemental swords are 51. That pattern suggests 45, but it is an inference, not direct proof. |
| Sunrise damage | Two Fextralife entries say 45; an unverified search excerpt attributed elsewhere said 21. | Use 45 as the better-supported value and keep 21 marked unverified until the underlying page or an in-game capture settles it. |
| How many blades exist? | Three independent location checklists name the same 21 blades. The earlier structured stats table omitted First Moon, Shark Cutter and Silverlight. | Use 21 for Blade Collector. The three added rows keep their attack values marked separately because the source sets appear to use different upgrade states. |
What would change this page: a game update changing weapon values, a complete in-game Blade Collector checklist, or a reproducible capture that settles the disputed damage rows. Until then, the passive effect — where the sources agree — is the better basis for choosing a build.
FAQ
What is the best weapon in Beast of Reincarnation?
Purity is the safest general-purpose pick in the documented set because Vampiric Blade converts 8.5% of damage dealt into healing for five seconds. Elemental matchups can still make another sword better for a specific boss.
Where do I get Purity in Beast of Reincarnation?
Buy Purity for 4,390 Amber from the Ancient Golem Merchant south of the Raging River camp in the Ancient Civilization Zone. Brad reportedly sells it later as well.
Can ranged weapons and ammo be upgraded?
Yes. The completion route reports a +14 ceiling for each ranged weapon and ammunition type, with roughly 500,000–600,000 Amber needed to max the full set. Treat that total as a planning range, not an exact bill.
